Things heard in and around my life today...

Just to prove that I'm totally normal.

Thing #1:

History Class, Discussing Leader of Democrat Party Elections in America

TEACHER: Aren't the results of the Iowa Caucus exciting?
POLITICS STUDENT #1: *dreamy sigh* Yes, I'm so please Barack Obama is winning ...
POLITICS STUDENTS #2 AND #3: *more dreamy sighs* Oh yes, why don't we have someone like him?
TEACHER: Yes, we really need someone charistmatic and young, who just entices you to vote for them...
ME (IN HEAD): OMG VOTE SAXON!!!

Thing #2:

History Society, Learning About Pirates

SMALL GIRL DOING PRESENTATION: And she became a pirate when her father engaged her to Alf, Prince of Denmark...
ME: *starts whimpering and twitching*
HANNAH: *sigh* Hamlet wasn't the only Prince of Denmark, Raf...
ME: He was, HE WAS.
HANNAH: Maybe Alf was his real name.
ME: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHH...

So yeah.  Totally normal.  By the way- pirates?  Are cool.  And cross-dressing ramnce antics work in real life as well as Shakespeare plays, apparently.  Well, according to Calico Jack Rackham, Anne Bonney and Mary Read they do.

Comments

Our theatre technician - who a) is practically a walking fanfiction but b) seems to know barely anything about actually fandom on teh internet - wants to put VOTE SAXON posters all around school, build a TARDIS, and basically BE Captain Jack... he actually owns a Jack!Jacket... and wears it every day.

Doctor Who and Torchwood... it does things to people. =/
I will be old enough to vo0te in the next general election so I want a t-shirt to wear afterwards that says, "Don't blame me, I voted for Saxon."

And see if people get it. I will be cool.
*needs that t-shirt*

*headdesk*

My next Politics lesson is going to be distracting... especially since my Politics teacher also looks like Ianto.
