ALK'SGHWR 'LTH RPYKJ
E[WYJ WHY?
And also:
Ugly Betty = Green Wing. Srsly.
Betty = Caroline
Henry = Mac
Charlie = Holly
Bridge = Park
"Have a wonderful life." = "Thank you for making it easier."
Heartbreak = Heartbreak
And:
Santos- nooooooooooooooooo! You taught Justin how to snap!
Justin makes a wonderful Tony, he's adorable.
Marc and Wilhelmina = aw.
Amanda and Christina trapped in a rom with booze = win.
Amanda as Faye's daughter = double win.
BUT
If Amanda turned out to be Faye and Bradford's daughter, not Faye and her real dad's daughter, then Amanda and Daniel sleeping together = INCEST.
It really is Green Wing
And Daniel and Alexis are totally going to be in comas.

YES YES YES LEE WON HOW COULD HE NOT?
I was watching his final performance and i just went, "I love you. You are amazing. I want to have your babies."
I am so going to see that.

I am so going to see that.
I was fucking terrified.
I, unlike most of fandom, don't really mind the "Doctor-lite" eps and i thought this was especially good. I can't remember the name of the actress who played Sally but she was in Bleak House and Northanger Abbey and is one of my heroines of Regency Drama, thus I heart her. She's posh and pretty and she's tough as fuck and I really like her. I loved her line, "I'm clever and I'm listening and don't patronise me."
Also, I want Laurence Nightingale (*sniggers*). Internet geeks for the win. "'The Angels have the Phone Box'. I've got that on a t-shirt." = Best. Line. Ever. I'm so ordering a t-shirt that has that.
On a more clever-sounding note, how brilliant is Stephen Moffat? All that intersecting conversation, it makes my head go funny. It was a brilliantly crafted episode, I loved it. And playing on a basic fears of mundane things is always the best way to go. Statues are creepy, with their empty eyes, especially angel ones. Smoke and mirrors will always be scarier than out and out horror. I loved the cheesy paranoia bit at the end as well. It was like a way of signifying to the audience that the "Don't blink" rule applied to them as well- when the camera was on the angels but the characters weren't watching, they didn't move because we were watching. Speaking of which, that shot where Sally moved in front of the angel and when she moved away again the hands were down, and when she moved back they were back up was brilliant. It was all one fluid shot, I can't work out how they did it. The editing in general was brilliant, all creepy and atmospheric, and the idea of the angels turning off the lights so you couldn't see them was a great trick.
There wasn't much Doctor/Martha stuff obviously, so I can't do my usual relationship!squee but I will say one thing: Martha supporting him with shopwork = a billion new plotbunnies spawned. Considering it seems like they've been stuck in 1969 for a while, possibly a couple of months means that oh yes, the Doctor certainly does do domestic. Also, I love the image of them with a bow and arrow. It's just cool.
One last thing:
"It's like a big ball of wibley-wobbly timey-wimey...stuff."
I don't even have to comment, do I?

*woooooo leeeeeee*
*blinks* AAAARGH!
That episode was AMAZING! It beat Shakespeare and the Marc Warren one to be my favourite episode! I love all of the time travel confusing shit cause I actually get it most of the time =] *geek* And Sparrow & Nightingale ruled!
"It's like a big ball of wibley-wobbly timey-wimey...stuff." *splorfle*
I think this ep ties with the Shakespeare one for my undyiong love, even though it gave me nightmares.
Ugly Betty - Love, saw it last wednesday on E4, but I never noticed the GW parallels... either you're smart or I'm dumb, its obvious now I see it...
I, unlike most of fandom, don't really mind the "Doctor-lite" eps and i thought this was especially good You and me both... Internet geeks for the win I'm dating one...!
Sally moved in front of the angel and when she moved away again the hands were down, and when she moved back they were back up was brilliant. It was all one fluid shot, I can't work out how they did it. There was an article in the Radio Times, the angels wern't made of rock, they were made of people made up to look like rock...
Final note: Steven Moffat scares me shitless... he did it with the Empty Child two series ago as well...
Ah, hot!geeks. How I love you.
Those prosthetics were awfully good, I was completely fooled...
And did he really do the Empty Child ones? I had an inkling he had, the tone was very similar. Anmd yes, those ones terrified the life out of me, i watched them holding hands with my friend.
He' so good at playing on fear of the mundane. I am fully expecting one to do with mirrors next.
I was hiding behind a sofa cushion... I'm too big to fit behind the sofa...
Am now meaning to make a lot of Dr Who and Ugly Betty icons now...
I loved Sally also. And, withe the statue moving-ness, they were people in prosthetics, which would make that flowy shot a little easier I'd imagine.
And those prosthetics were very good! Although I'm guessing that some of those really were statues, or lightweight plaster stuff or something.
Very good indeed. I usually find myself watching confidential when everyone's praising the prothestics team (and I'm sure they are very good), but I'm always thinking "they're not that amazing", but they really did look like statues in this. Very impressive.

Well done that Lee - much as I was a Daniel!Fan, he very much deserved to win. I missed it, so I've watched the highlights on YouTube - he really is pretty awesome. Plus, I had some Daniel!Thrusting in the group number, so I was happy XD
"I want to have his babies"
Okay, they'd have nice hair, but you'd have babies with massive, scary neck veins! XD
I'd much prefer squishynosed!Daniel babies.

Oh My Timelord. I've only just watched DW - and I think that is one of my favourite episodes in the history of ever, despite the severe lack of Tennant. It was one of those episodes that had you yelling at the TV every time a new part of the plot clicked in your head ... "Oh, she's his grandmother!" ... "Oh, Billy left the messages on the DVDs for Sally!" ... "Oh, when the lights go out, they can't be seen by anybody!" ... so much *facepalm*ing was had.
Sally was maaaaade of win, as was adorable Laurence - Geek!Love FTW! That line about the T-shirt was great, and aparrently somebody is making t-shirts with that on - or so somebody reported at
Even though we got painfully little Doctor action, he still looked adorable, and his timey-wimey detector = ♥

On a slightly unrelated topic, on your recommendation I watched the entire Chris Ecclestone DW series - AND ADORED IT. He is brilliant!!

Plus, next week - JACK'S BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!
*squeal/flail/die*
Jack! Doctor! Captain! HOTSQUEE!
I know what you mean! i was watching the eholt hing going, "Jinkies! I've just realised what's going on!" in the manner of velma from Scooby Doo. Plus I was trying not to blink very hard and failing and then telling myself off for being silly and wah it was scary.
And pfft. The babies can have my neck. It's not veiny at all. Besides, dr Cox from Scrubs has neck veins and he is made of awesome.
