| Bio: | Well, I'm 16, I want to be a writer and I think that LiveJournal is probably a good way of posting some of my work, so that people out there, people like me, can read it and laugh/cry/tear it up in disgust. People like you?, I hear you cry, But who are you? Well that is a very good question. Statistically, I am Rafaella Sybil Maddelena Maria Maranzano Marcus Rhind-Tutt Tennant Depp (admittedly, the last three names might be wishful thinking) and I live in London, favourite city in the world (Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner...) and the full list of my nationalities comprises: English, Italian, Polish, German, Argentinian, Ukrainian and Mongolian, so quite a mix. I never know how to describe myself properly, so suffice it to say that physically I am short with what i like to think of as "Renaissance" brown hair, dark brown eyes and those wicked-cool emo glasses when I'm not ruining my eyes with contact lenses, which is most of the time. Personality wise, I am creative, independant, languid, lethargic, passionate when I get involved, determined (again when I actually get involved), passingly amusing, rather intelligent (I.Q.: 139 although that was in Year 9 so probably higher now) and have one hell of a temper. Although not much bothers me, I seem to go to extremes. I tend to get a little obsessed with fantasy worlds, as I find they are, at least, a reliable source of all the love and passion and nobleness we are told that lives in this world, that I sometimes find hard to find. Firstly, there's Harry Potter. Look, if i want to follow the adventures of a boarding school wizard then I will, So just fuck off. I'm a R/Hr shipper (Pumpkin Pie must die and We Believe in Trees etc) and I love the idea of Harry/Luna, *sigh* my lost ship... I don't really like Ginny, found her a bit annoying and therefore undeserving of our hero's love, etc...not that I like Harry that much anyway. Dumbledore RIP, obv. Other favourite characters include Luna, Remus (*dreamy sigh*) and Ron (*dreamy sigh* again). HBP was the best yet and so well set up for Book 7! Roll on Summer 2007! Deathly Hallows OMG! *irony* Although I HATE the films. Do not talk to me about them. The kids have about four facial expressions each (although Daniel radcliffe is actually getting sort of okay and is obviously trying to learn his craft) and each new director tries to come up with a new way of making it appeal to a wider audience and ends up butchering the script. Secondly, there's Green Wing. I am still mourning the end of the Second Series and our lovely Doctor Macartney (I refuse to accept it!!! He is NOT going to bloody die!!! If he does I shall hunt down the writers with shoes and fangirlish death!!!11!!!eleven!) I'm holding out for a happy ending for everyone, although someone is going to have to have their heart stamped on. But frankly, I'd rather it was Guy than Mac. When you level up the shit they've been through Mac comes out considerably worse so just give him is woman and his consultancy, dammit! UPDATE I can't believe I wrote all that all those months ago...and I can't believe the way things turned out either! Gosh. Tear. Etc. I love Green Wing because it's so human. Because it's not just a comedy. Because it literally does make me laugh hilariously one minute, jump up off my chair shouting "YES!" another minute and collapse into a soggy heap another minute. GW is the only TV programme that has ever made me cry. *gives a shiny award* Thirdly is Doctor Who. I started watching when it returned to our screens last year with the wonderful Christopher Ecclestone. And was utterly and completely hooked. IT IS SO GOOD. And Billie Piper was surprisingly ok, and by the end of the series she had earned a little place in my heart. With Chris Ecclestone setting an insanely tough act to follow, at first, I wasn't entirely sure about David Tennant. I was too fiercely loyal to CE. Those feelings dissipated as soon as he did his lovely big smile and he completely won me over. I absolutely love him. The bloody gorgeous sexy Scottish man. I have never considered anything Scottish to be sexy until now. The rest of the long, long list includes Hippies, Smack the Pony, Blackadder, Pirates of the Carribean, Black Books, Ross Noble, Simon Amstell (purr) and Dylan Moran. But I also have a life-long love for the Beatles, am completely in lust with the Kinks (and I know I have good taste because Mac from Green Wing likes them :P), most 60s music, Jane Austen, J.D. Salinger and the name, "Jack". It is a name that spans all social spectrums, from rough and ready English Boy to idiosynchratic individual. I also pride myself on being pretty damn close to the description of Mac's ideal woman. (A compassionate yet unpredictable, slightly masculine Kinks fan with eyes.) Score. Although this could be wishful thinking. XD And that's my head. Pretty much. Well, I think so, I haven't really explored all of it yet. | |||||
